After the PhD
A natural outcome of the PhD program in Bio-Chemical Sciences is an academic career, in Italy or abroad.
A major aim of the PhD program is the employability of early-stage researchers after the three-year research period, either in academia or in industry.
Within the program, there are a considerable number of collaborations with industry that doctoral students can take advantage of, potentially leading to future integration into research and/or industrial development.
The methodological and cultural skills acquired allow PhD graduates to be included in multiple work environments, not only at university level, but also in public and private companies, with various roles in qualified professional activities.
During the PhD course, much attention is paid to the development of innovative and transversal skills, useful for joining the present and future needs of the labor market.
Due to the transdisciplinary characterization of this doctorate, PhDs will have a professional specialization of interest for different industrial sectors.
PhDs find multiple employment opportunities at industrial level, which can also be used in employment situations other than those specifically dedicated to scientific research.
To promote knowledge of our PhD students by local companies, both the Doctoral School and the Doctoral Course will establish:
- specific annual events
- and various seminars with professionals in the sector.
